Tozer chapter 2

Once again, if you want to now the questions I will be answering today, please go HERE.

1) i agree with this statement to a certain extent. I think he was trying to say that we often create our own concept of God, and that if we then use that as our god, we no longer have God, but just our image of a god, and that we can't have a full concept of God. I think we can come to know what God has for us, but not know God fully, for if we did, our human minds would probably explode.

2) I think Tozer would say that about most of the population, but with all of the movement of God in the past couple of decades, God has revealed himself for those who are looking. ass for God compared to Greek and roman gods, I have to say that it once again depends on the people you are talking about. Christians don't think God a little above them, but the only God, and far superior to any other idol. As for the others, God is either the thing they want to rid/get away from, or He is lower than their gods.

3) I agree with this, for even though people claim there is no God, they still "worship" something, whether it be a baseball player, or social media. I do see this in me, for when I start putting distance between me and God, I start drawing close to other things.

4) I think this is for good reason, for in the Bible, it refers to the church as God's bride. That is the only reason I think he'd refer to the soul as feminine

Francis de Sales

today i will be answering the questions regarding Francis de Sales. If you want to know the questions, please go here.

1) I love the one about spiritual sugar. It is so true that devotion sweetens your life. I can definitely tell a difference between when I am connected with God versus not connected. My days are a lot different in the way that I deal with things.

2)A) Because we cannot obtain perfection, I believe that he means that it takes all god and bad, and makes them great, and helps us with everything in our lives.
B-C) yes, I don't think that it is only possible, but is true. once again, there is a distinct difference between when I am connected versus when I am not.

3) i enjoy reading my Bible and praying, but what I struggle most about it is being consistent. I am currently working on being more consistent with my prayer life, and hope to get better soon.

4) i believe that I am a toddler to young kid in spirit and right now am learning how to understand the Bible, so my habits mainly consist of prayer and reading the Bible, and sometimes fast. Fasting is one thing that I am definitely working on.

Preface to the Knowledge of the Holy

My teacher has asked me to answer some questions regarding the preface to The Knowledge of the Holy. I have four questions to answer, and if you would like to see them, please go to www.spiritualformation.weeble.com
Thank you.

1. The problem Tozer identifies is that although we have grown externally in numbers, we have damaged our faith inwards. I agree with this, for several people believe in god, but aren't willing to submit their all to Him and follow Him as He has commanded us. It's really sad to see this happening to the Christian faith.

2. I think when he says "majesty of God", he is referring to God's glory and the way should see God.

3. Other losses consist of the way we see God and knowledge of God, and all of these deal with our concept of God, and it's really sad to see this happening over the years.

4. I'd have to say that things regarding education have gone both ways since Tozer's time. Depending on which school you go to your education and environment will be different. As for me though, I think I learn many things I would through that literature in a different and easier way. If more schools were like this, I believe Christian's all over the world would grow in God much easier.
